Flower pot Quilt
New addition to the old barn and it really looks great! Dave and I picked the flower pot design because of the compost business. The bright colors and black background really make the design pop! We are grateful for the Walworth County extension group because they organized such a fantastic project. It is really fun to go around the county and find all of the lovely quilts.

JD maintenance and cleaning
It is very important to keep everything clean and neat as everything operates better when it is well maintained! Everyone needs to do the same with their own bodies as a balanced diet, proper water intake, a good amount of rest and healthy relationships are key to a healthy, happy individual. You certainly can tell by an individuals attitude whether they are taking care of themselves or not! We would be a happier society if we could all get on the same page. It is extremely hard to follow this healthy plan as discipline is key to these healthy options! Try it some time, it feels great.
One little girl!
Cleaning the compost barn means the girls get a lot of extra fresh air. The brown Wisconsin grass will soon turn to the beautiful white stuff. The girls are getting one of their last trips outside before the snowflakes hit!

A day to be thankful!
The experiences that are most important are the ones that teach us something significant in life. Missing my dad very much today as this is the fourth Thanksgiving holiday without him; however, memories and experiences with him are always remembered! I am very fortunate as my 17-year old wrote about my father this week and that truly was the greatest gift of all! I am so proud of you Hayden as you grow into a fine young man! I know that both kids are who they are because they have grown up on the dairy and learned what working with family is really like! Very thankful today and every other day for what we have accomplished and appreciate all of the support we have gotten over the years from family and friends. Living in Wisconsin and raising our children on a traditional dairy farm is an amazing way to raise the kids. We are producing a high-quality milk product and providing food for many people in the country! There are very few dairy farmers left in this country so it is important that we all work hard together to accomplish what is best for this industry!~

Maintenace on the haybine!
Drew is taking time to fix the haybine properly. It is really important to have this machine running properly because it is key to making great quality alfalfa that can be mixed with corn, minerals and vitamins in the total mixed ration. The girls really dig this stuff!

Learning to use a hammer!
Great experience for all of the help to learn how to do carpentry work! The dry cow barn is going to be a great addition to our dairy.
Buddies forever!
Dave and Robert are planning on their next adventure! You can tell they are up to something by their grins! Look at their smiles and notice the healthy stature! Wholesome dairy products do the body good! Thank goodness we met this guy 10 years ago it is always wonderful to reunite with great friends.

Sudan grass
Look at this poor lonely sudan grass. The harvest is almost done and how did these plants get left alone? Dairy cows cannot survive properly with just grass in their diets. It would be a form of starvation if a farmer decided to implement that kind of diet. If cows were to eat one ingredient they wouldn't have 4 compartments.
A fantastic time visiting Lake Tahoe!
Thanks Dairy Management Inc. and National Milk Producers Federation for believing in Dave and I and training us to be informed spokespeople and properly represent dairy farmers from the Midwest! We won't let you down.
Great friends, Great Times!
What a wonderful time Dave and I had with Susan, Robert and Debbie! Thanks guys for a great time at National Milk Producers Federation annual meeting.

Carbs are great for the diet whether you are a cow or a human!
Carbohydrates are great for the intakes of cows as it replaces some of the high-priced corn. It does the body good as carbohydrates turn into energy and put body weight on the cow which helps the mother-to-be and the cow stay fit and healthy.

Packers vs. Minnesota in Nevada
Dave and Laurie are always competing and trying to be our best! Yes, I am in a Minnesota Vikings jersey and Dave is sporting his favorite Packer jersey, but we are able to disagree sometimes during the day, but we always find our way back down the sensible path. If we try we can all work together and make the world a better place to live in!
