Food safety is always an important part of a dairy farmers day.
Dairy farmers work diligently to implement a wide range of measures to secure facilities and the milk supply. Measures in place on my farm include: anyone entering the property must follow the biosecurity signs when entering the property. We maintain a closed her at Kylecrest Holsteins LLC and we only breed and raise our own cattle. We do not buy cattle from other herds. We have many extra cattle that we are selling and they are all vaccinated and tested before we sell any animals to different people. We recently sold a September calf and it is going to find a home in the state of South Dakota. We hope the young man that is getting this show calf for a Christmas present enjoys his great gift.
